Divisions of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering

Department of Mechanical Systems Engineering

In this department, we respond to the diversification and sophistication of mechanical systems and the segmentation and specialization of the field of mechanical engineering, while at the same time integrating these to foster highly skilled mechanical engineers who can create new machines and systems and meet the demands of society. To this end, while inheriting the characteristics of traditional mechanical engineering centered on design and manufacturing, we provide specialized education and instruction aimed at creating new mechanical engineering by absorbing the results of fundamental engineering such as physics, mathematical engineering, materials science, information engineering, and electrical and electronic engineering.

Department of Micro-Nano Mechanical Science and Engineering

Aiming to develop science and technology that is kind to both the earth and people.

Our department aims to create new integrated, sophisticated and intelligent mechanical systems based on the creation of new functional materials, microfabrication technology, measurement technology and control technology. Our goal is to train leading engineers and imaginative researchers with interdisciplinary knowledge who can comprehensively deal with problems for new technological development.

Department of Aerospace Engineering

The Department of Aerospace Engineering aims to train engineers and researchers who have a high level of creativity, comprehensiveness, and an international perspective, and who will play a leading role. There are three major courses: Aerodynamics and Propulsion, Structure and Creation, and Flight and Control, and we are engaged in education and research on the development of new technologies for aircraft, rockets, artificial satellites, etc.
